PRIMARY FUNCTION:



Provide engineering leadership, technical support for maintenance, production, automation, and engineering activities to achieve management objectives, and Attain quality and productivity goals, as maintain continuous improvement. Assure plans are implemented and drive results accomplishment











ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:





Direct and support maintenance production lines and facilities equipment, including activities such as: repair, preventive maintenance, calibration and metrics.









Contracts with outside vendors for building additions, equipment, installation and abnormal maintenance.









Assures that all contractors are trained in safety matters and that insurance certificates are on file.









Develops and controls budget for all maintenance areas. Forecasts maintenance plan (personnel, equipment and space requirements).









Maintains a preventive maintenance program for machines, equipment, buildings and grounds. Must maintain PM records for all equipment and recommend changes to improve OEE based on trends.









Maintains maintenance tool crib. Establishes an adequate inventory of replacement and repair parts for equipment and machines. Oversees procurement of necessary parts.









Responsible for compliance with all OSHA standards.









Manages and monitors development and implementation of operation budget for department, facilities invested plan, and cost improvement program for site.









Responsible for the hiring of maintenance, tooling, and facilities personnel.









Evaluates new employees and oversees the training of new employees, apprentices and trainees. Assists in training and development maintenance personnel.







Determine tooling and product specifications and evaluates tooling and equipment according to specifications and quality standards.







Supports new product launches as liaison to manufacturing facility.







Supports prototype and engineering in daily tooling and equipment related issues.







Develops new tooling and aids with tooling and machine tryout.







Lead ongoing tooling related issues.







Manages new development and leads cost save strategy in tooling and equipment areas in alignment with other functions.









Completes annual performance reviews and monitors performance of personnel.









Creates and maintains spare parts records

Qualifications



+ Bachelor in Sciences of Engineering. Preferred Mechanical, or Electrical.



+ Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in Manufacturing Environment



+ Strong knowledge in the electrical and mechanical fields, equipment and machine design, building and plant maintenance techniques is required. Knowledge in structural and architectural matters is helpful



+ Must have administrative knowledge in company policies, procedures and budget control.
